Women's Cross Country Makes Historic Debut at Berry College
The Georgia Highlands College women’s cross country team made history on Saturday by competing in their first-ever race at the Berry College Equal Distant Meet. The inaugural team—comprised of Brianna Lee, Abigail Butterfield, Ihla Rizwan, and Amanda McCormick—proudly represented GHC in this milestone event.
Brianna Lee led the Chargers with a time of 45:10.9 in the 8K race. She was followed by Abigail Butterfield at 53:47.5, Ihla Rizwan at 1:09:43.6, and Amanda McCormick at 1:11:25.1.
The Running Chargers will return to Berry College on October 4 to compete in the Berry College Invitational, continuing their exciting debut season.
